7.1 餘式定理 Remainder Theorem

$f(x)$ 除以 $(x-a)$ 的餘式 $= f(a)$

Remainder when $f(x)$ ÷ $(x-a)$ is $f(a)$

7.2 因式定理 Factor Theorem

$f(a) = 0 \Longleftrightarrow (x-a)$ 是因式 is a factor

搵因式技巧

試常數項的因數：$\pm 1, \pm 2, \pm 3...$

Finding Factors

Try factors of constant: $\pm 1, \pm 2, \pm 3...$

若 $f(x) = x^3 - kx + 6$ 被 $(x-2)$ 整除，求 $k$。

If $f(x) = x^3 - kx + 6$ is divisible by $(x-2)$, find $k$.

解 Solution: $f(2) = 8 - 2k + 6 = 0$ → $k = 7$
